 EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, ISLAND HOSPICE & HEALTHCARE

Island Hospice and Healthcare a national palliative care organization with branches in Bulawayo, Harare, Marondera and Mutare is looking for a strategic leader to fill the post of Executive Director.

• Reporting to a non-executive board of directors the role involves developing and managing strategic relationships and networks to complement the organizations mission.
• The Executive Director provides direction, leadership and management oversight, develops strategic and business plans for the organization
• Other key duties include project oversight, fundraising, marketing, and community outreach.

The ideal candidate should have the following competencies:

• Fundraising and developing other resources necessary to support the organizations mission. Strategic thinking and sound strategic management .
• Ability to lead a diverse team and manage relationships .
• Business planning and development .
• Finance and HR management Excellent verbal and written communications PR, networking and/or sound marketing skills Change management .
• Health industry knowledge an advantage Knowledge of corporate governance and board processes Programme management an advantage

Qualifications:

• MPH, MBA, MA in Development Minimum 5 years in similar position
