Research Programmes Manager- Midlands State University Qualifications • Relevant Bachelor’s Degree. Preferably with a finance research or project management component, • A Post Graduate qualification in project management ‘0’ other relevant area will be an added advantage: • Skills in research management, financial planning and project management; • Experience in building and maintaining excellent working relationships with international research partners’ and external organisations and institutions; • Excellent academic report writing and data presentation skills; • Exceptional interpersonal, planning and organisational skills. Duties and Responsibilities • Providing central management of PALs operations acting as one of the primary contact points with other organizations and groups that are part of PALs’ research network: • Working closely with the PALs Principal Investigator to provide leadership and direction of the operations in research, training, human resources, finance and programme administration; • Co-ordinating research management in collaboration with the Research coordinator and maintaining effective and ongoing communication with sponsors and research participants: • Reviewing and developing a familiarity with research contracts or award terms and conditions; • Planning and implementation of the various PALs projects across multiple international research jurisdictions; • Supporting the financial planning, management, and monitoring of the PALs’ research grants in collaboration with funders and partners. ” Working with finance and project teams at MSU and partner organizations to ensure that grants and sub-grants are completed and that sub-grantees fulfill contract deliverables when they are due, including budget targets, timeline targets, and project activity targets: • Developing relationships with key international granting agencies, academic, research and professional organizations, and government stakeholders; • Planning, developing and assessing organizational requirements to provide authoritative information and advice on administrative processes and policies as well as research activities; • Contribute to PALs project formative and summative evaluation and written reports for the funders in collaboration with the finance-team at MS U were required; • Participating in different research projects, academic development, and planning for and writing of journal submissions related to the PALs projects; • Traveling to multiple international jurisdictions to operationalize PALs project objectives and deliverables; Apply Applicants must submit six sets of applications, certified copies of certificates, transcripts, national identification and Curriculum Vitae giving full personal particulars including full name, place and date of birth, qualifications, experience, present salary, date of availability, contact details, names and addresses of three referees addressed to: The Deputy Registrar of Human Resource Midlands State University P.
