Applications are invited for the SALES MANAGER position within Baker’s Inn Sales & Distribution – Northern Region, Harare. This role is responsible for driving sales growth, strengthening market presence, improving route efficiency, and providing strategic leadership to the sales function.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales volumes and ensure all produced products are sold through effective route and market management.
- Provide timely demand feedback to Production and Distribution teams.
- Structure and optimize distribution routes to ensure timely deliveries and route viability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Analyse daily sales and operational statistics including returns, fuel usage, cash collections, and route performance.
- Monitor competitor activities and provide market intelligence to support strategy.
- Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team, including performance management and succession planning.
- Prepare and present accurate sales and performance reports for management reviews.
Requirements
- A Degree in Sales and Marketing, Business Management, or any related field.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales, preferably within an FMCG environment.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of route-to-market operations and sales planning.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making abilities.
- High integrity, professionalism, and customer focus.
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on operational execution.
