Key Responsibilities
- The Waiter/Waitresses will be responsible for:
- Providing excellent service to every customer, including students, staff and guests.
- Ensuring customers feel important and welcome in the dining halls.
- Ensuring hot food remains hot and cold food remains cold.
- Presenting menus, answering questions and making suggestions regarding food and services.
- Serving students, staff and guests in an accommodating manner.
- Maintaining a clean and organised service area.
- Complying with health and hygiene policies and procedures.
- Following laid down handover and takeover procedures.
- Securing exit and entrance points before knocking off.
- Performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
- The Porters will be responsible for:
- Washing dishes, utensils, pots, pans and kitchen equipment.
- Cleaning kitchen work surfaces, floors, walls and storage areas.
- Disposing of waste and recycling according to health and safety procedures.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.
