Support Officer for Integrated Maternal New born Child Health and Family Planning Program: FACT Zimbabwe

Location: Buhera, Chipinge, Chimanimani, Makoni, Mutare, Mutasa, and Nyanga

Project Summary

FACT Zimbabwe is a local Christian NGO implementing a USAID supported project. The project seeks to improve maternal and child health status in targeted populations in the seven districts (Buhera, Chipinge, Chimanimani, Makoni, Mutare, Mutasa, and Nyanga) of Manicaland.

Position Summary

The Support Officer works under the supervision of the Program Officer. The incumbent will assist in the running of program activities in one of the 7 districts in Manicaland namely, Buhera, Chipinge, Chimanimani, Makoni, Mutare, Mutasa and Nyanga. The incumbent must be able to create programme activity plans and generate day to day implementation of programme activities. He/she be engaged in networking with all project stakeholders in the district of implementation. The incumbent must generate and maintain a data base on project beneficiaries and activities; and compile periodic project reports for submission to the Program officer.

Requirements

University degree in Social Sciences. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal English, as well as an ability to meet deadlines and work independently; must have at least 4 years working experience in the NGO sector and field work experience.
