Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise all on-site security personnel, including static guards, mobile patrol teams, and contracted security providers.
  • Conduct security risk assessments and implement site-specific security measures in compliance with Zimbabwean laws.
  • Investigate security incidents, including theft, illegal mining, trespassing, vandalism, and other security breaches.
  • Prepare comprehensive investigation reports with recommendations.
  • Ensure security equipment, including CCTV systems, radios, alarms, vehicle tracking systems, and perimeter security infrastructure, is operational and properly utilised.
  • Maintain accurate security records, including Occurrence Books (OB), patrol logs, incident reports, and investigation files.
  • Provide regular security reports, intelligence updates, and recommendations to management.
  • Train, mentor, and develop security personnel to maintain high standards of professionalism, discipline, and performance.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with the Zimbabwe Republic Police, local authorities, traditional leaders, and surrounding communities to strengthen security intelligence and cooperation.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Security Management, Criminology, Police and Security Studies, Risk Management, Military Science, Law Enforcement, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial, mining, military, or police security.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role.
  • Professional security certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), or equivalent qualifications will be an added advantage.
