Job Summary The Project Officer for Youth will support the design, implementation and evaluation of youth focused programming within the country program. The incumbent will oversee the implementation of CRS’ youth strategy, establishment of integrated youth-friendly services and community interventions that empower youths economically and socially. The Officer will provide guidance for all cross-sector integration efforts to ensure youth issues are considered and relevant technical approaches are included into proposals. S/he will lead advocacy and government engagement efforts to advance issues. S/he will lead learning and documentation of promising practices.

Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Sciences or related field preferred. • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with vulnerable youth. Experience working with youth and social awareness regarding main youth issues desirable. • Experience in participatory action planning and community engagement. • Experience monitoring projects and collecting relevant data preferred. • Experience working with and coordinating partners and partner staff. • Passionate about working with and for young people. • Gender training would be an added advantage. • Strong communication skills in English. • Proficient in MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Web Conferencing Applications, knowledge-sharing networks. • Willingness to travel 25% of more to field locations.
