Mine Surveyor (X3)

Shurugwi (Xl ) & Mutorashanga (X2)

Reporting to the Claims Manager, the successful candidates will be responsible for providing mine survey services within the Mining Division in line with the applicable standards, legal provisions and SHE requirements

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• B.Sc. Degree in Surveying and Geomatics plus 3 years post qualification experience in a mining environment, OR • National Diploma in Surveying with Zimbabwe Government Mine Surveyors • Certificate of Competency plus 5 years post qualification experience in a mining environment • Demonstrable knowledge of a recognised SHE system, preferably NOSA • Demonstrable knowledge of surveying techniques including GPS operations • In-depth knowledge of Windows and relevant Survey Software Packages e.g. Mine Works Collection is a prerequisite • Knowledge of the requisite government regulations applicable to the mining operations and any applicable open-pit mining regulations • High levels of communication and sound interpersonal skills • A Clean Class (4) Driver’s Licence a must

Key Performance Areas

• To inspect, maintain and accurately survey Zimasco claims beacons• Provide mine survey services to resource evaluation, mining and smelting operations • Monitor illegal mining activities • Production of relevant plans and reports as per legal requirement • Provide survey services for rehabilitation purposes • Applies survey methods to ensure the quality of mining operations, in compliance with approved designs, monthly ‘ and annual production plans • Controls mining operations to ensure compliance to SHE requirements
