MARKETING MANAGER – INNOVATION HUB
Reports to: Executive Director, Research and Innovation in the Vice Chancellor’s Office
Duties for the Marketing Manager will include:
- Marketing the Innovation Hub and recruit potential tenants.
- Promoting the commercialisation of innovations at the Innovation Hub.
iii. Creating and implementing marketing plans including but not limited to print, video, television, social media, etc.
- Conducting market research to identify potential investors for goods and services from the Innovation Hub.
- Investigating new opportunities for demand-driven research.
- Maintaining a communication system for Innovation Hub highlights for internal (intranet, research briefs, newsletters, emails, announcements) and external (internet, newsletters, brochures, news release) consumers.
vii. Establishing new ways to market our products and attract investment.
viii. Performing market analysis and providing marketing support to researchers
- ix. Overseeing the coordination and organization of all public events linked to the
Innovation.
- x. Perform other related duties, as assigned.
KEY COMPETENCIES
The ideal candidate should have: Excellent creative and marketing skills; Superior technical writing skills and ability to produce simple but high quality content; Experience in print and electronic media; Positive interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative, courteous working relationships with others; Be able to work independently and be self-motivated; Exceptional organizational and time management skills with an eye to prioritize and coordinate work demands; Excellent interpersonal, team working and communication skills; Ability to work under pressure, and observe and respect deadlines; Efficient, organised and hardworking.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should have:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree Business, Communications, Marketing, or other related field, and at least 5 years related experience.
- A demonstrable record in creative writing, digital advertising, content management, etc.
- Advanced computer skills including basic knowledge of Design packages such as
Photoshop or Illustrator.
