Reports to the Chief Internal Auditor

Requirements

Applicants should have at least a degree in Accounting or equivalent, e.g. CPA, CTA, CIA, ACCA, CIS etc. A masters’ degree in Accounting will be an added advantage.

Applicants should have at a least five (5) years work Experience. Applicants must have good communication and presentation skills, be professional and of high integrity and have excellent interpersonal skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Planning. Participate in the development of Annual Risk Based Internal audit planing. To obtain background information on the areas to be audited.iii. To identify and record areas requiring audit emphasis.iv. To compile a detailed audit assignment plan that sets priorities and parameters.v. To determine the amount of time to be allocated to each area of the audit assignment.

2. Operations

i. To conduct planned or routine audits and special investigations as instructed by the Chief Internal Auditor in a professional manner.ii. To coordinate and control audit activities with departmental or unit leaders.iii. To review and effect changes in the scope of audit, adjustments in budgets and audit programmes on site.iv. To evaluate risk exposures relating to governance, operations, and information systems regarding the:• Reliability and integrity of financial and operational information• Effectiveness and efficiency of operations.• Safeguarding of assets.• Compliance with laws, regulations, and contracts.• Meeting of objectives.vi. To make follow-ups on previous routine and special audit recommendations and check on implementation status.vii. To write audit reports and make recommendations to management in respect of work done.viii. Any other duties assigned by the Chief Internal Auditor.
