About the Role
An established company in the motor industry is seeking to appoint a qualified and experienced Human Resources Officer. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the effective delivery of HR services across the organization. This position involves managing recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compliance, and staff development to align with both organizational goals and national labor laws.
Purpose of the Role
To provide professional HR support by coordinating recruitment, enforcing HR policies, managing performance systems, and fostering positive employee relations while ensuring compliance with labor regulations and organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities
•Coordinate the full recruitment and selection process, including job postings, CV screening, interviews, reference checks, and employment documentation.
•Facilitate the onboarding of new employees.
•Manage employee contracts in line with internal policy and national labor laws.
•Administer the company’s performance management system and guide line managers through the process.
•Oversee employee movements and role changes within the organization.
•Support management and staff in the implementation of the company code of conduct and HR policies.
•Process payroll using Belina Payroll System.
•Ensure statutory compliance through timely and accurate submission of NSSA, ZIMRA, NEC, and ZIMDEF returns and payments.
•Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee records.
•Develop and implement training and development programs aligned with organizational needs.
•Facilitate staff engagement through Workers Committee and Works Council activities.
•Coordinate employee training sessions and staff meetings.
•Represent the company at external labor forums including NEC and the Ministry of Labour.
•Generate and submit periodic HR reports to management.
Qualifications and Experience
•Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
•An IPMZ qualification is an added advantage.
•Certification in Belina Payroll is highly desirable.
•A minimum of 3 years’ experience in human resources, preferably within the motor industry.
•Experience implementing performance management systems is required.
•Practical experience with disciplinary procedures in an NEC-regulated environment is a distinct advantage.
•Strong problem-solving, planning, and interpersonal communication skills.
•Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
•High level of professionalism and unquestionable integrity.
