Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the finance and accounting function across head office and mine sites.
  • Build and run mining cost accounting: cost per tonne and per ounce, AISC, and monthly variance analysis.
  • Structure and manage project, debt and offtake finance, and prepare bankable funding packages.
  • Produce IFRS financial statements and monthly management accounts, and manage the external audit end to end.
  • Design and enforce financial controls and treasury, including gold and mineral custody reconciliation from mine to sale.

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant: CA(Z), ACCA or CIMA, with a degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 6 to 8 years post-qualification experience, including 3 to 4 in a senior accountant or financial controller role.
  • Mining industry experience strongly preferred (gold, base metals or aggregates).
  • Strong project finance, financial modelling and IFRS audit experience.
  • Knowledge of ZIMRA, RBZ exchange control and mineral marketing; unquestionable integrity.
