THE ORGANISATION ‘
Zimbabwe Association of Pension Funds is an organisation composed of mainly self-administered Pension Funds whose objectives are:
1. To provide and protect the interests of its members
2. To collect, collate, circulate and exchange information which will be of service and interest to the members and to assist and further the development of the pension and provident funds.

Responsibilities
• Setting and delivering annual work programmes that meet the ZAPF, objectives
• Forward planning and production of high quality policy, research and media activity
• Building strong alliances with external organisations and stakeholders
• Working effectively with ZAPF members in pursuit of their interests
• Horizon scanning —to identify opportunities and threats to ZAPF, and their impact on the Association, and to devise strategies for dealing with them
• Give strategic direction on all research work and networking with specialists in the industry for the production of the Association’s journal / quarterly bulletins
• To lead and manage the performance and professional development of ZAPF staff by providing clear direction, feedback and coaching in order to maximize the potential of staff

• Persuasiveness — ability to present strong, well reasoned arguments
• Excellent oral,written communication and presentation skills

Education and Experience

• A Business Management Degree or Equivalent Qualification
• An M.B.A will be an added advantage
• Experience in the Pension and Insurance Industry is also an added advantage
• Previous experience in working with boards preferred
• An understanding of working in a membership organisation.
