The Securities and Exchange Commission of Zimbabwe (SECZIM) is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill two positions within the Policy and Market Development Department. The Corporate Finance and Policy Manager will support policy formulation, corporate finance oversight, market development initiatives and regulatory compliance within the Commission’s Policy and Market Development Department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and maintain relevant market policies, procedures and guidelines in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Review all corporate actions filed with the Commission and ensure compliance with issuer disclosure requirements for investor protection.
  • Analyse disclosures by listed companies and provide insights to inform regulatory decisions.
  • Manage the Commission’s enterprise risk management through robust risk management strategies.
  • Lead the Commission’s fintech engagements and regulatory sandbox testing to promote market development.
  • Conduct market research and analyse economic developments to inform policy and legislative proposals.
  • Lead market development initiatives aligned with international trends.
  • Identify market development gaps to inform regulatory changes and policy formulation.
  • Foster local and regional regulatory collaboration.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Corporate Finance and Capital Markets.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Law, Banking or equivalent.
