The Organization for Public Health Interventions and Development (OPHID) PVO 31/16 develops and implements innovative approaches and strategies to strengthen HIV Care and Treatment services in Zimbabwe, by providing enhanced access for communities to comprehensive HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment. OPHID, works with the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MOHCC) in implementing these interventions.

In anticipation of funding for a Cervical Cancer Screening and Treating program, OPHID is looking for suitably qualified and motivated individuals to fill the Program Manager post:

The Program Manager will report to the Technical Director of the Cervical Cancer Screening project. The purpose of this project is to increase the availability and accessibility of high quality cervical cancer screening services for HIV infected women in Zimbabwe. The Program Manager will manage the day-to-day work of the activity. S/He will supervise and support the technical and administrative staff supporting the program.

Specific Duties

· Convene and coordinate meetings with partners and key stakeholders, relevant MOHCC departments to promote cohesion of the Cervical Cancer Screening and Treatment Program

· Maintain linkages to other programs to ensure program implementation maximizes synergies with other programs

· Manage and monitor implementation work plans and ensure work is implemented according to program objectives, well and on time

· Manage administrative support activities and support coordination of program M&E and finance towards attainment of program objectives

· Assist technical director in timely and complete submission of all performance reports and financial information

· Assist in reviewing and monitoring program budget and expenditures

· Work with MOHCC in identifying implementation gaps and initiating appropriate program responses as guided by the donors.

· Work closely with HIV Care and Treatment Consortium management in OPHID and sub grantees to manage the scale up of Cervical Cancer Screen and Treatment services in a synchronized, cost effective manner

Person specification

· The Program Manager shall have previous medical/nursing and NGO experience

· At least 5 years’ demonstrable experience in managing HIV/AIDS or Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) projects in Zimbabwean.

· Excellent written, oral and presentation skills with good management and organizational skills

· Proven working experience with MOHCC structures

· Proficiency in usual computer software (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)

· Previous experience in implementing a USG program an added advantage
