Key Responsibilities

Crane Operations: Safely operate truck-mounted cranes (Hiab) to lift, move, and position heavy drilling equipment, machinery, and materials on-site.
Logistics Support: Assist in the transportation, loading, and offloading of exploration gear, generators, and structural materials.
Safety & Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle and crane; perform daily safety checks on hydraulics, cables, hooks, and booms; carry out basic mechanical maintenance.
Documentation: Maintain accurate logbooks, fuel consumption records, and delivery notes.
Compliance: Strictly adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) protocols and defensive driving standards while on mining sites.

Requirements

Valid Zimbabwean Class 2 Driver’s License (Heavy Goods Vehicle).
Valid Crane Operator Certificate (VID certified is highly preferred).
Minimum 3 years of proven experience operating a truck-mounted crane (minimum 5-ton lifting capacity).
Strong understanding of load charts, rigging procedures (slings, chains, shackles), and safety regulations.
Physically fit, reliable, and highly experienced in working on mining sites and rough terrain.
Good communication skills in English
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight operational deadlines.
