Senior Finance Manager Retail
The Incumbent will be responsible to the Divisional Director Retail. Basic Function Responsible for developing and Implementing Retail financial strategy within the tie guideline relating to internal controls and repo., Monitor financial performance and budget controls for the Retail Division in order to enhance t )e overall Divisional financial performance.
Major Activities of the Job
- Compiles and consolidates the Business unit’s capital and expenditure budget annually in consultation with the Divisional Director and Regional Business Unit Heads.
- Monitors and interprets Retail Division cash flows and predicting future trends.
- Develops, maintains and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
- Coordinates and completes annual audits for the Business Unit and identifies training needs for the staff.
- Develops and maintains financial reports whenever new standards are introduced.
- Prepares and presents the Business Unit financial reports monthly for management, decision making.
- Develops and maintains accounting policies and procedures and present monthly financial reports for management decision making as well as financial reports for external auditors.
- Prepares local creditors’ and debtors’ age analysis report to facilitate settlement of bills.
- Follows up outstanding bill payments with government and quasi government institutions monthly.
- Prepares provision for bad debts report annually and keep and update debtors and creditors ledgers monthly.
- Complete related as required.
Qualifications / Experience
- A Degree in Financial Accounting.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant.
- Plus 3 years relevant experience with 2 years at Supervisory level.
