POSITION: LABORATORY TECHNICIAN (4 POSITIONS)
GRADE: 11/10/9
REPORTING TO: SENIOR LABOLATORY TECHNCIAN
LOCATION: MORTON JAFFRAY / PRINCE EDWARD / CLEVELAND HOUSE LABORATORIES
DEPARTMENT: HARARE WATER

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill in the above-mentioned vacancy in the Quality Assurance division of Harare Water Department.

JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for carrying out analysis of water, wastewater and maintenance of laboratory equipment.

KEY RESULT AREAS

• Collection and management of samples
• Carry out basic analysis of water and wastewater
• Preparing of reagents and standards and their correct care and use.
• Trains junior personnel
• Calibration of equipment and maintenance of same.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• National Certificate in Laboratory Science Technology / Chemistry / Microbiology.
• At least one-year experience in water and wastewater analysis.

DESIRED COMPETENCES

• Good communication skills
• Good data analytical skills.
