Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing the implementation and coordination of Ministry policies, projects and programmes at district level.
- Promoting community participation and stakeholder involvement in sport, recreation, arts and culture initiatives.
- Preparing expenditure estimates for district operations.
- Preparing and submitting monthly, quarterly and annual progress and performance reports to the Provincial Head.
- Managing human and material resources allocated to the district.
- Monitoring and evaluating district-level programmes and activities.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science, Arts and Recreational Studies, Cultural Studies, Sports Management or an equivalent qualification.
- A Master’s degree in the above-mentioned fields will be an added advantage.
- At least four (4) years’ experience serving in the Administrative Officer grade or equivalent.
- Knowledge of current sport, recreation, arts and culture issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong management and organisational skills.
