Qualifications and Attributes

Applicants must have

• A Master of Science Degree in any discipline of Laboratory Sciences or equivalent.
• A BSc Honours Degree in Life sciences or equivalent plus relevant post-qualification experience
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a physiology or research Laboratory is essential.
• Leadership and managerial qualities.
• Be highly self-motivated.

Duties

• Planning, supervising and coordinating students’ practicals.
• Developing and maintaining the Department’s Health and Safety procedures.
• Maintenance of departmental furniture and equipment, including carrying out inventory and coordinating repairs
• Purchasing departmental equipment, reagents and consumables.
• Supervision of junior staff.
