We are looking for vibrant and trailblazing individuals to join our team in the following role:Bookkeeper (Revenue)

Reporting to the Assistant Accountant, the successful candidate will ensure that all money received by the Authority is receipted, recorded, banked and properly accounted for.
Key Outputs
 Verify and check for validity entries and posts made to General Ledger accounts.
 Receive and reconcile cash from cashiers at day end and posts to General Ledger accounts.
 Check on banking by monitoring bank deposits and cash receipts to ensure that all deposits have been accounted for and forwarded to the Bank.
 Enter all receipts in the cashbook to maintain a proper record then compare with the bank statement and liaise with the bank if there are any anomalies.
 Execute reversals in the system concerning receipting and banking in order to ensure that adjustments are made to employer accounts.
 Maintain Security Items Register for safe custody of security items and keys to ensure adequate/proper control.

Qualifying Requirements
 A National Diploma in Accounting plus part professional qualification such as CIS or CIMA, ACCA or equivalent.
 3-5 years’ experience in an accounting environment.
