Project Field Assistant (WASH)

Job Summary
The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating community and stakeholder participation in implementing project activities.
Key duties and Responsibilities
• Develops weekly plan in line with scheduled project activities at community level.
• Prepares distribution plans for Non Food Items
• Conducts community mobilization and sensitization.
• Facilitates beneficiary identification and registration for the project.
• Participates in data collection, e.g. administering questionnaires, collecting statistics relevant to the project.
• Conducts community capacity building, such as training of committees and individual artisans.
• Prepares and submits progress reports to the Assistant Project Manager such as project activity, training, Personal Activity Reports, fuel reconciliations and incidents.
• Coordinates community participation and stakeholder relations at community and district level.
• Facilitates collaboration with stakeholders, e.g. Government extension workers, traditional leaders.
Qualifications, skills and experience:
• Degree/Diploma in Water and Sanitation, Public Health, Development Studies or equivalent.
• 2 years working experience in Water and Sanitation programmes or other related field.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Valid class 3 motorbike riding license is an added advantage
• Ability to take initiative.
