WEBSITE DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT INTERN

In Summary
We are looking for a motivated, well-groomed and upright recent graduate or student graduating in 2019 with a National Diploma or seeking a degree in one of the following majors listed below from an accredited university:
• Information Systems
• Engineering— Computer Science, Software Development, Coding, Programming
• Information Technology

What you can expect in this role
The chosen intern will be working on a number of customer facing web applications within the team.
• Develop, maintain, and support the applications for the organization’s Clients and Partner sites, manage the design, upgrade, enhancement, maintenance, availability, the effectiveness of the technical functionality, and the content for one or more enterprise websites;
• Program all and/or the selected components of web applications, as well as record and document the components and applications and develop automated techniques that enable end-user content publishing;
• Program, test, and implement mapped graphic images, forms, and HTML pages;
• Responsible for evaluating, developing, and maintaining, along with usage of, file servers and related systems;
• Assist in program design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine business requirements, as well as design, develop, and test application code to ensure that business requirements are met
• Assist in component and data architecture design, software, production evaluation, and buy/build recommendations
• Coordinate configuring, coding, developing, and documenting specifications throughout the project life cycle

Skills and experience required for this role include:
• Web Applications, Coding, programming
• Front end development
• Linux, Unix, as well as Windows Environment
• Problem solving skills
• Software development skills, SDLC
• Good understanding of JavaScript, HTML and CSS preferred
• Candidate should have experience developing website applications through their college courses or other intern work
• Experience with content management systems and APIs preferred
