The Poverty Reduction Forum Trust (PRFT) is a civil society organization founded and registered in 2008. The broad objective of the organization is to influence the formulation of pro-poor policies through carrying out research on poverty related issues, engaging with policy makers, promoting broad-based consultative dialogue and processes, as well as advocating for sustainable human development in Zimbabwe.

The organization is offering an opportunity for work exposure and learning to a communications and ICT person on a voluntary terms of engagement. Reporting to the programme coordinator, the person will be required to support and facilitate all communications regarding the organization’s research, dialogue and policy advocacy activities. The person will be specifically required to assist in designing and writing of high quality multi – media messages for the purposes of communicating PRFT’s work, ensuring that PRFT’s website and its social media sites are linked and regularly updated with the organization’s work, reviewing policy documents and writing press statements for media usage. The person will also be responsible for the development and administering of electronic data collection tools.

Requirements

Degree in Communications or Media or ICT, 2 years of experience in similar role, strong interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge and experience in Development Studies will be an added advantage. The incumbent is being employed on a voluntary basis and has to demonstrate ability to meet their daily travel and any related costs.
