We are seeking a Trainee Financial Analyst to support financial planning, analysis, and decision-making across the business. The role involves analysing financial data, building financial models, preparing forecasts, and supporting budgeting, investment evaluation, and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse financial statements and prepare regular management reports
- Track performance against budgets, forecasts, and KPIs
- Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts
- Support budgeting, re-forecasting, and long-term planning
- Evaluate investment opportunities using NPV, IRR, and ROI analysis
- Prepare dashboards, management packs, and presentations
- Provide financial insights to support strategic and operational decisions
- Identify financial risks and propose mitigation strategies
- Monitor liquidity, working capital, and financial sustainability metrics
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business
- 1–3 years’ experience in financial analysis or a related role
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
- Good understanding of financial statements and corporate finance
- Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CFA or progress towards) is an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to communicate financial insights clearly
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- High ethical standards and confidentiality
