We are looking for vibrant and trailblazing individuals to join our team in the following roles:

Supply Chain Category Lead

Reporting to the Supply Chain & Administration Services Executive, the successful candidate will provide leadership and direction in the category under management, including supply market management and development, planning and execution, and contract and risk management activities in order to meet business needs.

Key outputs

• Develop, lead and execute category plans and sourcing strategies based on research and analysis to optimise value for money outcomes and meet stakeholder needs and expectations.
• Lead the business in agreeing and then delivering clear and compelling category strategies for the category underpinning the wider business strategy
• Plan and execute negotiations for both formal tenders and ad-hoc activities ensuring that the business obtains best value on all it spends.
• Take overall responsibility for the performance of suppliers within the specified category.
• Lead negotiations on high impact, complex supply arrangements and contract issues to deliver better category outcomes.
• Ensure that suppliers have necessary capacity and stock arrangements to support business requirements.
• Provide expert advice to key stakeholders on all aspects of procurement and the procurement category, to encourage innovative practices and support delivery of business and policy directions.
• Lead and manage the category management team and cross-functional working groups to achieve a high level of performance, integration and consistency in procurement across the category key challenges.
• Work with Finance to produce an annual budget and regular re-forecasts justifying differences based on commodity moves, negotiated contracts and future projects.

Qualifying requirements

• A Degree in Supply Chain, Business Management or equivalent 5 years proven working experience in a multi-site procurement role
• Working knowledge of contract law.
