Software Tester – Steward Bank 1898 views

Suitably qualified, experienced and motivated candidates are invited to apply for the position of Software Tester which has arisen in Technology Services Department.

Key responsibilities

Reporting to the Software Testing Lead, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following, among others:

• Plans and executes software testing schedules
• Design test plans, test cases, test scenarios and procedures
• Perform software tests on scheduled projects
• Document software defects and follow up on their closure
• Monitors effectiveness of solutions once deployed into production
• Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues
• Maintains a defect free LIVE environment
• Collaborating with business operations in conducting UATs

• Skills and Experience

• Knowledge of Banking technologies and integration of Banking systems
• Project Management skills (The ability to keep projects on track)
• Knowledge of at least one Systems development methodology, and a testing methodology.
• Extensive knowledge of testing tools i.e. load testing tools, functionality test tools.
• Coordinating skills (scheduling activities, organizing and maintaining records)
• Analytical skills (The ability to examine alternative courses of action in a given situation)
• Administrative skills (The ability to interpret policies and procedures)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in written.

• Educational Qualifications
• First Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related qualification.
• Software testing qualifications (ISTQB-related qualifications or LinkedIn Training in software testing) will be an added advantage.
