Safety, Health and Environment Officer

Duties and Responsibilities

Monitors that all staff comply with SHE policies

Provides on the job training and safe working systems.

Reinforces safe work behaviours.

Monitors proper use of personal protective equipment

Conducts surveys and monitor occupational hygiene stress factors. Follows up on corrective actions for identified hazards Participates in accident/ incident investigation in order to find the cause of the problem and implement preventive measures.

Undertakes programmes to promote good employee health.

Compiles statistical reports on accidents/incidents.

Qualification and Experience

Degree in Environmental science or Equivalent Relevant

post graduate qualification such as SHATCOR I & II, SAMTRAC

3 years relevant experience

Clean Class 4 Drivers Licence
