Title: PROJECTS ENGINEER
Location: PROJECTS DEPARTMENT, FBC BUILDING SOCIETY

Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals to fill the above named position that has arisen at Projects Department, FBC Building Society.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

•Ensuring best practice techniques are employed in all construction activities on sites Adhering to projects timelines, tracking progress and reporting on likely or actual delays
•Preparing projects schedules and SHEQ plans
•Ensuring resources for tasks are on site in time to prevent delays
Safeguarding and ensuring materials procured for the works meet the quality standards prescribed. •Ensuring all process quality checks are carried out as per management plan and relevant checklists are completed and filed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

•Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University with previous experience in
construction procurement
•At least 5 years’ experience as a site manager in a Building and Civil Engineering environment

COMPETENCE AND SKILLS

•Effective communicator
•Knowledge of best practice techniques for efficient procurement.
•Thorough knowledge of quality of building materials and their specifications
•Ability to work under immense pressure to meet set deadlines.
•Computer literacy skills Microsoft Word, Excel and Candy, Buildsmart or MS Project an advantage
