Chewore Conservation Trust (CCT) is the implementing partner of Awe for Nature Foundation .
Under a 25-year collaborative management agreement with the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority (ZimParks), CCT manages a 200,000-hectare portion of Chewore South, forming roughly one-third of the Mana Pools, Sapi and Chewore UNESCO World Heritage Site.
CCT combines frontline conservation operations with sustainable tourism, habitat restoration, biodiversity credits and community upliftment to protect biodiversity and address threats including poaching and illegal mining.

Key Responsibilities
- Capture, log and file information from field reports, patrol data and other sources.
- Maintain organised, cross-referenced intelligence files and databases.
- Produce draft situation reports, incident summaries and basic analytical products.
- Track patterns in poaching, wildlife trafficking, illegal fishing and unauthorised entry.
- Support briefings for internal teams and external partners where directed.
- Assist investigations by compiling background information, timelines and link charts.
- Build relationships with rangers, community scouts and Park staff.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standard Security Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
- Handle all information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
Requirements
- Zimbabwean School Certificate of Education (ZSCE) as a minimum.
- University degree or diploma in criminology, security studies, intelligence studies, geography/GIS, data analysis, wildlife management, environmental science or a related field.
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in Shona.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to live and work in a remote bush environment in the Lower Zambezi Valley.
- Honesty, discretion and strong personal integrity.
- Knowledge of Chikunda, Nyanja or another local language spoken in the Zambezi Valley.
- Familiarity with GIS tools such as QGIS and Google Earth, EarthRanger or similar conservation platforms.
- Previous exposure to law enforcement, security or conservation through internships or fieldwork.
- Valid Class 4 driver’s licence.
