Programs promote sustainable livelihoods of poor and vulnerable peopleJob DescriptionThe procurement intern will be responsible for procuring goods and services as taught and as delegated in line with the CARE Procurement policy and guidelines. Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Checks the submitted vendor documents and prepares vendor set up forms for review.• Enters all IPRs in the Procurement Dash board and inputs data on the purchase order.• Follows up on Vendors on outstanding purchase orders, deliveries and outstanding invoices.• Receives goods and endorses the Goods Received Note (GRN) and also dispatches the goods endorsing the Movement Delivery Sheet (MDS) as well as the Asset Transfer forms where applicable.• Prepares request for quotations and sends to vendors, sources for quotations in line with the procurement policy and donor regulations and guidelines.• Submits copies of approved purchase orders to vendors and the receiving department• Makes commercial accommodation and conference bookings for internal stakeholders.• Provides assistance related to tender submission and secretarial services during the tender opening meetings.• Raises payment requests, ensures the processing of payments follows smooth documentation flow and processes liquidations as delegated by the Administration Manager.

Qualifications

• Degree in Purchasing and Supply Management/CIPS or equivalent• 1 year attachment / work related learning experience in Procurement, Logistics or other related fields.• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
