PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Is responsible for managing press, website and related publicity issues as part of a broader media strategy of the City of Harare with the overall aim of promoting stakeholder relations and Brand Harare

 

 

KEY RESULT AREAS:

• Implementation of the City’s Media Strategy.
• Management of Council Website and Newsletters
• Production of Press Releases.
• Speech writing for Council events.
• Overseeing publicity campaigns.
• City branding through advertising and exhibitions
• Any other duties as may reasonably be required by the Head Corporate Communications

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• University degree in Communications and Media Studies
• At least 5 years’ experience as a public relations/media practitioner at middle management level.
• Post Graduate qualification (eg MSc, MBA) is an added advantage
• A clean 4 drivers’ license
