National Sales Manager

This position will be responsible for growing the loan portfolio Loan Sales Agents team.

Reporting to the General Manager the essential include.

• Creating and implementing effective sales strategies targeted towards the achievement of corporate sales objectives.
• Carrying out market research in order to identify new business opportunities and develop products for new and existing customers.
• Developing competencies and processes required to create an effective and efficient sales team through ensuring effective recruitment, induction, training, development and retention of the sales team.
• Ensuring the marketing and training needs of the unit are met by actively participating in training programs provided for Agents in sales, marketing, prospecting and product areas.
• Proactively identifying changes in delivery systems, and competitive pressures to develop and modify strategies and tactics accordingly.
• Managing the loan portfolio through monitoring sales forecasts vs. actual performance analysis.
• Establishing effective relationships and collaborations with internal and external stakeholders in order to address key business issues and opportunities.

The ideal position holder should have the following skills; competencies and experience:

• A Business Management Degree in Sales / Marketing.
• At least 4 years’ experience in managing a sales team for either Consumer or SME loan products.
• Loan assessment, risk and credit analysis skills a must.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; with demonstrated written and verbal communique.
• Motivated self-starter who is organized and comfortable with managing own work load.
