1 Monitoring, Evaluation. Accountability & Learning (MEAL) Coordinator x 1 Harare based

Key Areas of Accountability

Provide technical leadership on MEAL and working with the MEAL team coordinate country level MEAL activities ensuring delivery on requirements for embedding MEAL in the country office
Monitor MEAL capacity gaps and liaise with the Regional office and to SC members to address identified capacity gaps.
Participate in program design processes incorporating teaming into new proposals and ongoing projects
Support the development of systems and processes for the Implementation of MEAL based on Save the Children best prance. developing frameworks to integrate impact assessment and learning and knowledge management into the NORAD programme
Support SC staff and partners and building their capacity in MEAL issues and in the management of information systems
Maintaining a tracking spreadsheet for M&E activities and events, assessments. reviews, and evaluation
lead the development and implementation of relevant accountability mechanisms – Lead the process of using of quality benchmarks in monitoring the quality of implementation
Lead the process of developing and the promotion of child participation in M&E planning and accountability
Lead data collection. analysis and presentation processes in line with the project M&E plan
Coordinate sharing of learning generated from MEAL practices across the program/project, encouraging consideration of results both between and within partner and providing support when internal/external reviews. Evaluations and lessons learned exercises should be employed;
Ensure monitoring of Child Safeguarding mainstreaming by all departments as well as monitoring of the implementation of the Zimbabwe Programme Child Safeguarding plan.

Qualifications & Experience

A minimum of a first degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics Sciences . Project Planning, Computer Studies or related field with significant statistical analysis content.
Minimum 6 years practical experience in MEAL system coordination/implementation in a large international non-governmental organisation or other international relief/development body
Willingness to work and travel to field sites
