Suitably qualified, experienced and motivated candidates are invited to apply for the position of Mobile Development Specialist, which has arisen in Technology Services Department.

Key responsibilities

Reporting to the Mobile Development Lead, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following, among others:

Monitoring the entire app life cycle –concept, design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores and support.
Writing clean, healthy, structured, well documented mobile applications’ code
Building future-proof reusable core code libraries, which can be shared, in-order to drive further efficiencies.
Working with different mobile development techniques that is Native, Hybrid and Cross-Platforms.
Keeping up to date on the latest industry trends in the mobile technologies.
Building prototypes at tech scoping stage of projects.
Assisting in critical support issues where Mobile Application Development Expertise is required to find the more appropriate resolution.
Ensuring Systems and Applications comply with regulatory bodies such as RBZ, PCI, ZimSwitch.

Skills and Experience

Creative Design skills.
At least 5 years’ experience in Mobile Application Development.
Strong OO design and programming skills in Objective-C
Familiar with the Android SDK
Knowledge of the SQLite, MySQL or Similar database management system.
Strong knowledge of Agile methodology is preferred.
In-depth knowledge of Restful Web services.
Experience on source code version control systems GIT/ Stash.

Educational Qualifications

Honors Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information System or Informatics.
At least 1 Certification in mobile application development
