Mobile Development Lead – Steward Bank 1225 views

 

Suitably qualified, experienced and motivated candidates are invited to apply for the position of Mobile Development Lead, which has arisen in Technology Services Department.

Key responsibilities

Reporting to the Digital Products Development Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following, among others:

  • Delivering across the entire app life cycle –concept, design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores and support.
  • Working directly with systems and mobile application developers and product managers to conceptualize, build, test and realize products.
  • Gathering requirements around functionality and translating those requirements into elegant functional mobile application solutions.
  • Building future-proof reusable core code libraries, which can be shared, in-order to drive further efficiencies throughout the team.
  • Standardizing the mobile apps platform and in some cases developing apps to deliver across multiple brands with minimal duplication of effort.
  • Ensuring that the mobile applications development team are integrating other team’s services efficiently and that they are offering technical input into how all the Bank’s services can be delivered and improved.
  • Ensuring that documentation for all systems are available and that Systems and Applications are in compliance with regulatory bodies such as RBZ, PCI, ZimSwitch.
  • Leading the development of mobile applications taking into account emerging and legacy technologies.

 

Skills and Experience

  • System integration/application rationalization/standardization.
  • Familiar with iOS SDK (UIKit, Cocoa Touch, Core Data, Core Location, etc) and xcode.
  • Strong design and programming skills in Java (J2EE/ J2ME).
  • Knowledge of SQLite, MySQL or similar database management system.
  • In-depth knowledge of Restful Web services.
  • Experience on source code version control systems GIT/Stash. Experience on build and integration tools including Jenkins, auto deployment tools.

 

Educational Qualifications

  • Honours Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Informatics.
  • At least (one) certification in mobile application development.
