Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• BSc. Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent Minimum of 5 years’ post graduate experience. 2 years of which should have been at Mine Captain level. • Experience in hard rock underground mining (both surface and underground) for at least 3 years • A holder of a Full Blasting Licence. • Working knowledge of mining software systems, Microsoft State and appreciation of an ERP System such as SAP • Sound knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental Protection regulations and practices • Clean Class 4 Drivers licence • Narrow seam dyke underground mining experience and possession of a Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency are an added advantage Key Performance Areas • Managing Large and Small Scale in-house and out-sourced mining operations in order to achieve set organizational SHE, production and costs targets • Strict compliance to statutory and company standards and procedures. • Sustaining productive Stakeholders’ engagement
