Planning Engineer
About the Job
We are looking for an experienced Planning Engineer to join our Engineering Department team, reporting to the Resident Engineer.
Roles & Responsibilities

Enforces Safety, Health and Environmental standards in line with ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 9001:2015 and other relevant legal frameworks.

Prepares departmental capital, labour and operational expenditure budgets for the Engineering department.

Oversees the planning and scheduling of all preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, condition monitoring and shutdown maintenance.

Reviews asset performance with regards to targeted equipment availability and reliability and implement necessary corrective action plans.

Support the development of Standard Operating procedures (SOPs) and maintenance checklist

Liaise with procurement and stores team to ensure timely availability of parts and tools.

Conducts root cause analysis (RCA) for all major downtimes and puts actions to prevent recurrence.

Prepare and issues maintenance plans in collaboration with Engineering and production teams.
About You
-
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
-
Minimum 5 years experience in a mining environment.

Should be a member of a professional body i.e. ZIE.

Proficient in maintenance planning tools and software
