Key Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate must be a hands on professional, Licensed Mechanical Engineer with demonstrated experience in mechanical design, preparation and review of engineering drawings, site supervision and project execution from design through installation, testing, commissioning and handover

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a recognised institution.
  • Registered Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of Zimbabwe (ECZ).
  • Valid ECZ practising certificate/licence.
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant post-qualification experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in mechanical design, engineering drawings and construction/project execution.
  • Proven ability to manage mechanical works from design → drawings → installation → testing → commissioning → handover.
  • Practical experience in hospital mechanical services and medical gas systems is highly advantageous.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit MEP or other relevant engineering design software.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering standards, construction practices, quality control and health and safety requirements.
