Key Result Areas

• Auditing Planning and performing operational, financial and information system audits. This involves reviewing all internal control systems and procedures for departments and business units. Then presenting the results of the audit to respective Audit Committees, including making recommendations and ensuring, implementation of any such recommendations. Assist in the investigation of suspected and reported fraudulent activities within the Group of companies.
• Systems of Internal Control – Liaise with eternal auditors and other recut, authorities and making a follow up on all issues raised. Recommend changes aria enhancements to existing policies, procedures and controls in order to ensure., that practices are current, adequate, functional and utilized in accordance with the standards established by the government, regulatory authorities and the company. This includes the adherence by the Audit Department to international auditing standards.
• Audit Committees – Attend quarterly Audit Committee meetings for all business units and compiling the required board reports. Assist the various Audit Committees in evaluating and improving risk management, control and corporate governance systems.

Qualifications & Experience

• A first degree in Accounting and must have successfully completed Articles of Clerkship.
• Extensive knowledge of Computer Assisted Audit Techniques (CHAT). A Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) qualification will also be an added advantage.
• At least 8 years working experience in the financial services sector, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial position.

• Highly energetic and self-motivated individual with good accounting experience.
• A team player, highly skilled communicator with proven and outstanding written and oral communication skills.
• A mature individual who is able to lead the Group Internal Audit Department and must have the ability to communicate and disseminate information to the Board of Directors and senior members of staff.

A clean class 4 driver’s license and a passport are required.
