Finance Volunteer: SOS Children’s Villages Zimbabwe

SOS Children’s Villages Association of Zimbabwe is a member of SOS International – a worldwide children’s social welfare organisation, providing vulnerable children without homes with a family home and educational opportunities as well as strengthening families to reduce poverty.

SOS Children’s Villages Zimbabwe has established Community Outreach Programmes around the country. The Programme aims to assist and support children in difficult circumstances, in particular, families headed by a child, a grandparent or by a single parent. The Organisation works as a development partner with communities and the local authorities.

We seek a results oriented individual to take up these Volunteer positions in the Organization

Responsibilities, duties and tasks
Processing payments & banking receipts; Prepares and maintains accounting records; Prepares monthly registers; Supplier and Debtors accounts reconciliations; Bank Reconciliations; Fuel reconciliations; Conduct cash counts in facilities; Preparation of Navision Data Capture schedules

Qualifications and experience
A Diploma/Studying towards Accounting Diploma/Degree; At least 1 years’ experience in accounting field; Be committed to the mission, vision and values of SOS Children Villages Zimbabwe; Have excellent report writing skills and be able to operate in a highly confidential environment; Strong analytical skills and a good team player.
