Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the full finance function for the business unit.
  • Provide strategic financial leadership and insights to the Managing Director and CFO Group.
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling to support business growth.
  • Oversee financial reporting in line with IFRS and Group standards.
  • Manage cost accounting, product costing, and manufacturing finance processes.
  • Oversee cashflow, working capital, and liquidity management, and capital expenditure planning.
  • Strengthen internal controls, compliance, and audit processes.
  • Ensure full tax and statutory compliance, including engagement with ZIMRA.
  • Lead credit control, debt recovery, and customer risk management.
  • Partner effectively with cross-functional teams across the business.
  • Drive digital transformation within the finance function (including automation of financial processes and reporting, optimization and effective utilization of ERP systems, implementation of data analytics and dashboards for real-time decision making, and continuous improvement of finance workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy).
  • Lead, coach, and develop the finance team to deliver high performance.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to management and contribute to business decision-making.
  • Liaise with external auditors, banks, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
  • Master’s in Business Administration.
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification, current and valid membership with a recognized professional body.
  • Alternatively, a professional qualification (ACCA or CIMA) with relevant practical experience will be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and Zimbabwean tax and statutory requirements.
  • Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in finance or accounting.
  • At least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Experience in manufacturing and distribution of pharmaceutical products is an added advantage.
