Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all estate financial management activities including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for estate operations.
  • Monitor operational costs and provide variance analysis against budget and prior periods.
  • Assists Mwenezana Management to analyze and interpret monthly/quarterly/yearly operating performance against budget.
  • Support management with financial insights to drive operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
  • Coordinate preparation of annual estate budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Manage estate cash flow, expenditure approvals, and capital project financial tracking.
  • Facilitate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
  • Ensures accounting standards and policies are adhered to.
  • Monitor stock levels, reorder points, and consumption trends to support operational continuity.
  • Conduct regular stock reconciliations and physical stock counts.
  • Review and approve materials requisitions and store issues.
  • Implement best practices in warehouse management, stock valuation, and reporting.
  • Work closely with main stores, procurement and operations teams to optimize inventory costs and working capital.
  • Oversee the financial and administrative operations of estate commercial outlets such as trading store, social club, guest house and beerhalls.
  • Monitor sales performance, margins, and stock movement within outlets.
  • Ensure accurate daily cash management, banking, and reconciliation procedures.
  • Implement controls to minimize revenue leakages and stock losses.
  • Develop periodic sales and profitability reports for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in commercial operations.
  • Oversee the management of estate inventory including agricultural inputs, spares, fuel, and consumables.
  • Ensure strong inventory control systems are implemented to prevent losses, theft, or stock inaccuracies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Post-graduate qualification will be an added advantage.
  • A minimum of 3 years financial and/or management accounting experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of management and financial reporting in SAP will be an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Analytical and detail-orientated.
