DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assist the Director in planning, implementing, directing and managing of all functions and resources of the
    department to achieve the strategic objectives of the Agency in an eftective and efficiency manner
  2. Assist the Director with implementing the department vision and assists in leading the department for maximum employee productivity and morale through hiring, disciplining, evaluating employee performance, investigating and resolving grievances and other human resources actions
  3. Develops and administers the department budget with statt assistance.
    Implements and evaluates staff department policies. proiects and proarams
    Maintains professional knowledge through such means as attending seminars, reviewing professional publications and participating in professional organizations.

Interprets policies and provides advice and assistance to departments, employees and Human Resources Department staff in regard to employment law, Agency rules, human resources policies and procedural implementation.

7. Assist with and provide recommendations on day to day activities under the Human resources department such as Employee transfers, leave approvals, Pensions and Benefits schemes and the running of other employee programs

in existence

  1. Coordinates the employee grievance process and assists in the resolution of equal employment opportunity complains.
  2. Assists the Director in the development of policies and procedures, and reviews and recommends revisions and amendments to the Agency’s employee regulations and policies pertaining to Human Resource functions
  3. Propose appropriate staff establishments manning levels for the Department to the Director for consideration by the Chief Director and for approval by the Director General

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Degree in Human Resources Management Occupational/ Organisational Psychology Social Science degree with a bias in Human Resources Management
  2. At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in the human resources management field, a high degree of
    maturity, selt- discipline, initiative and creativity
