Cyber Security Analyst

Based in Harare, the incumbent will be responsible to the Business Assurance Manager for carrying out cyber security activities that protect critical infrastructure and operations of the business.

Job Purpose

Responsible for the assessment of information security systems, cyber security risk assessments, carrying out penetration and vulnerability tests on systems in the organisation.

Major Activities of the Job• Identify threats within the local and global environment and ensure mitigations are in place.• Regularly conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments and ensure safeguards are in place.• Evaluate performance of counter measures and safe guards employed to ensure maximum returns• Assist in creating and conducting Information Security education, awareness and training material to enhance awareness within the organisation.• Participate in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning to minimise the impact of risks.• Ensure that the organisation follows Cyber Security best practices.• Ensure that an effective vulnerability management process is in place.• Ensure that systems deployed to detect cyber incidents are in place and operational.• Ensure measures have been put in place to improve security and prevent recurrence of incidents.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent.• Demonstrated experience in penetration testing is a must.• Experience in use of cyber security tools is a must.• Use of various social engineering techniques.• Certified Ethical Hacker training (CEH).

• Passion for penetration testing.• A deep desire to keep learning and to want to work during odd hours willingly.• Excellent communication, organisational and presentation skills.
