Buying Clerk (Hay Band G)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and competent persons to fill the above position that has arisen in the Procurement Department. The incumbent will be based at the Graniteside Plant – Harare

THE JOB

Reporting to the Buying Officer, the successful applicant mil be, among other key challenging aspects, responsible for:

Reviewing and ordering raw materials in liaison with the Buying Officer.
Processing of purchasing requisitions and orders timeously
Analysing and tracking purchasing status.
Maintaining an efficient Wing system.
Conducting monthly stock take.
Ensuring all chemicals and materials are accompanied by manufacturing safety data sheets and COA’s.
Ensuring correct Interpretation and implementation of purchasing procedures and regulations.

THE PERSON

The ideal applicant should possess the following minimum qualifications and attributes: –

5 ‘O’ level pages including English Language and Mathematics.
Diploma n Purchasing and Supply.
At least 1-year relevant experience m a buying environment.
Be computer literate.
Knowledge of SAP is an added advantage.
Good Interpersonal and communication skills.
Good attention to details, methodical record keeper
Honest, hardworking and requiring minimal supervision.
Working knowledge of manufacturing, quality and SHE systems.
