Alive Advertising is currently looking for an innovative and self-starting individual to fill the position of Assistant Accountant and start immediately.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing daily cash flows and cash forecasts
- Ensuring timely processing of supplier, statutory, and bank payments
- Preparing monthly management accounts and assisting with annual financial statements
- Assisting with pricing, costing, and basic financial analysis for projects
- Supporting budget preparation, monitoring, and variance analysis
- Performing bank and ledger reconciliations
- Maintaining accurate accounting records and general ledger integrity
- Assisting with statutory compliance (ZIMRA, VAT, PAYE, NSSA, QPDs)
- Supporting internal controls, accounting procedures, and documentation
- Assisting with audits and responding to information requests
Requirements
- At least 2 years’ relevant accounting experience
- Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS
- Hands-on experience with Zoho and/or QuickBooks
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with general ledger functions and reconciliations
- High attention to detail with strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Accounting or equivalent
