Nyagui Sub-Catchment Council is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our daily operations. This is a critical role within the organization, offering a chance to contribute to effective office management and administrative coordination across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the office to ensure efficiency

  • Coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements

  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and general correspondence

  • Provide front-desk support and maintain a professional reception area

  • Maintain organized records, reports, and documentation with confidentiality

  • Assist in preparing administrative reports, presentations, and materials

  • Monitor and manage office supply inventory and vendor interactions

  • Provide cross-departmental administrative support as needed

  • Manage company assets and coordinate fleet maintenance and fuel usage

  • Support HR functions: maintain employee records and assist with leave tracking

  • Organize staff meetings, company events, and training sessions

  • Process receipts and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures

  • Assist with procurement and ensure adherence to PRAZ and public sector regulations


Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma in Administration or related field (Degree is an added advantage)

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an administrative or office support role

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills

  • High level of discretion with confidential information

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

  • Valid Class 4 Driver’s Licence (required)


Added Advantages

  • Experience in HR administration or office management

  • Prior experience in the public sector

  • Certification in Office Administration or related area

  • Familiarity with Procurement Procedures and PRAZ Regulations
