Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate financial statements (Annual, Quarterly and Monthly).
  • Prepare and monitor council budget.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and regularly reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Review and analyze financial data to identify potential areas for improvement
  • Maximization of revenue collection and provision of revenue collection strategies
  • Maintain accurate and up to date financial documentation and records.
  • Manage council debtors and creditors
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and tax returns
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards
  • Supervision of junior departmental staff
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by the E. O. Finance

Requirements

  • At least 30 years old
  • Proficiency in Accounting Packages.
  • Proficiency in International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from a recognized University.
  • At least 3 years proven post qualification experience
  • Police Clearance.
  • Citizen of Zimbabwe.
  • Clean Class 4 Driver’s license.
  • Medical Examination Clearance is a requirement.
  • Membership of CIS an added advantage.
