Key Responsibilities
- Teaching and University Service: The incumbent is expected to teach or deliver lectures in accordance to the Departmental and/or Faculty guidelines and standards
- The incumbent should also participate in all Department, Faculty and University activities such as attending meetings, training workshops, conferences, committees and seminars, among others
- Research: The incumbent is expected to engage in active research in his/her area of specialization which benefits both the students and the University
- Innovations: The incumbent is expected to bring innovations, which should lead to production of goods and services
- Industrialisation: The incumbent should be industrial through commercialisation of innovations, establishing start-ups, and building industries to produce goods and services that foster economic growth

Requirements
- At least five (5) Ordinary Level passes including Mathematics English Language and Science subject First Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent with at least an upper second (2.1) degree classification Master’s Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent
- A relevant PhD qualification will be an added advantage
- Teaching experience at a tertiary level will be an added advantage
- Publications in peer-reviewed journals in related field will be an added advantage
- The candidate must be able to teach at least three modules in the Department of Mining Engineering
